What Your Aura Says About You

If you’ve ever met someone and felt instantly comfortable, or become suspicious of someone without knowing why, there might be an explanation beyond your sixth sense. Your aura, the energy field that surrounds every person and extends in to their environment, is affected by your physical health, mental health, and emotional state—but it can also reveal secrets about your personality and motivations that you might not even be aware of! More than just an interesting phenomenon, the aura can help you to better understand yourself and others.
Intro to Auras
Auras are energy fields that surround and radiate from all living things. Everyone has an aura, but they can only be seen by those who practice witchcraft or who have very strong psychic abilities. (Supernaturally strong intuition and sensitivity to your environment can come close, though.) Auras are formed of various colours, shapes, and symbols depending on a variety of factors: for example, your state of mind as well as your body chemistry—the color of food you eat is reflected in your aura! The most prominent color in your aura represents your dominant personality trait; even if you’re outgoing with many friends and acquaintances, if you have a greenish hue in your aura then you’re most likely reserved around strangers or people you don’t know. In fact, there's quite a bit more you can learn about someone based off their aura alone. That said, I think it's fair to say that we've barely scratched the surface when it comes to understanding our energetic field of life.
Wicca practitioners have long believed that each person has an energy field around them called an aura. These energies change depending on how we feel about different things at different times of our lives; for example anger can cause reddish hues around someone while feelings of love might bring a pale blue glow around their body instead. In essence, every one's aura is unique and reflects not only who they are but also how they feel at any given moment. By looking closely at an individual's aura, people can often tell if he or she has any imbalances within his or her mind and spirit. Such imbalances could be anything from past-life trauma to unresolved issues present during one's current life span which could lead a practitioner toward diagnosing mental illness. What Is An Aura? When most people think of auras these days they tend to recall films such as Purple Rain where Prince dances around with pulsating lights emanating from his body into those of others! But what exactly is an aura when most people speak about them? An aura is an electromagnetic field generated by living organisms, said Liz Healy, co-founder of The Unexplained Center in Norwalk, Connecticut. The human aura consists of visible light waves (colours) plus invisible radio waves, Healy told LiveScience. Of course not everyone agrees that auric fields really exist as invisible entities out there ready to be visualised and tapped into by psychics!
What Do The Different Colour Mean?
The aura is really a layer of coloured radiation that surrounds every person, animal and object. The colours are not always visible to us; however, they can be if we know how to see them and what they represent. Colours that exist within your aura give us insights into your emotional state, how you perceive reality and where you are on your journey. Knowing what those colours mean will help you understand your spirit better, gain more insight into certain personality traits and even experience more positive events in life. In general terms, here’s what different shades of color in your aura might indicate:
Red:
Passionate. Ambitious. Confident. Emotionally intense but with feelings buried deep inside. This energetic color represents courage, strength and aggressiveness. It also shows high energy levels and an ability to get things done quickly. Beware, though—too much red means anger or rage brewing underneath.
Orange:
Stimulating. Exciting adventurous nature combined with strong leadership skills. This bright shade indicates power and success in business ventures, especially when coupled with a good head for numbers or creativity. Orange is a very social color; people who have it around their energy field enjoy being surrounded by friends and other like-minded individuals. Light Blue: Intuitive. Psychic. Spiritual tendencies hidden deep inside of someone who does not readily show these sides of themselves to others. This calming color represents serenity and allows for self-healing without outside interference. Too much light blue can lead to overreaction, confusion and hiding from difficult situations.
Dark Blue:
Hardworking yet driven at all costs. A need for constant improvement results in many hours spent doing work rather than enjoying time off with family and friends. People who have too much dark blue tend to isolate themselves from others due to fear of letting someone down or feeling unworthy (no matter how successful they appear). Green: Supportive nature comes out to protect family members first before others, no matter what. People who have too much green often find themselves unable to say no to those they love; as a result, they end up burned out and unable to look after themselves properly.
Yellow:
Bright and cheerful, but cynical about everything else going on in life. This sunny tint represents happiness found through finding simple pleasures in everyday experiences—smiling faces, beautiful sunsets and touching moments shared with loved ones. However, excessive yellow often leads people toward selfishness or extreme materialism.
Red/Pink:
Overly passionate, with a need to add drama or take things too far. This combination is addictive and obsessive. Pink represents a deeper spirituality and compassion for others, while red sparks action in fast and impulsive ways. No matter what your aura color, remember that anyone can have any color surrounding them; there is no right or wrong. If you have too much of one colour, your desire to balance things out can sometimes cause you to flip to the opposite side of things—for example, excess red inside your aura may push you toward a more blue perspective in order to make up for having no moderation. The point is that you don’t want an overwhelming amount of any one color in your energy field.
As far as colours go, it doesn't matter how you interpret them; everyone sees different colours when looking at an aura. While someone might associate their orange aura with wealth, others may see orange as a more feminine color associated with creativity and domesticity. No matter how you connect auras with each of these energy meanings (and there are many more), bear in mind that they're just interpretations — they're not based on science, but rather intuition and experience.
How do I see my aura?
Auras cannot be seen with a physical eye and must be interpreted through psychic abilities. Before you can see your aura, you must strengthen your psychic sense and develop what is known as clairvoyance. There are many ways to do this—meditation, yoga, or simple relaxation exercises will all help open up your third eye chakra and enable you to see auras for yourself. Once you’ve opened up your third eye, imagine that it is glowing brightly like a sun. Now, close your eyes, picture a person: then visualize its aura surrounding them. Repeat several times until you feel confident in your ability to see auras. With practice, developing clairvoyant powers will become easier and clearer over time. Opening our third eye also involves personal meditation and is necessary to keep attuned so we can understand what we're receiving from visions or other sources. In order to open your third eye, first sit quietly in a comfortable place with lights out or dimmed. As you breathe slowly, inhale deeply and exhale fully. Inhale again through your nose and hold it before exhaling slowly out of mouth. After a few minutes, you should begin to relax and calm down. For example: Imagine that every cell of your body is filled with bright light -- pure white energy. It's important not to get frustrated when things don't work immediately; instead, just try some different techniques and accept them for what they are — tools for self-development. If nothing else works initially at least try relaxing techniques that may allow insights into visualisation techniques later on.
How do I know if my aura is healthy?
Auras are a manifestation of your mood, personality, and health. A healthy aura is uniform in colour and texture throughout. A sick or unhealthy aura can be spotted by an uneven distribution of colours. By making simple lifestyle changes such as eating a balanced diet and getting adequate exercise, you can help to create a vibrant aura full of energy and health. The following guide on how to tell if your aura is healthy will help you make it so! Some areas appear more vibrant than others, while other areas are slightly opaque: This aura shows part of someone’s aura that may have suffered damage due to drug use; some parts seem yellowed and translucent. Making small lifestyle changes and seeking professional help for any health issues causing damage can lead to a renewed sense of self-awareness in addition to helping repair damaged portions of your aura. For example, someone with an addictions problem might seek therapy or begin attending meetings regularly. Likewise, if you take vitamins daily and eat a balanced diet, your body will become healthier overall, which could improve your emotional state leading to happier thoughts—and thus a brighter aura! Using these methods over time should also allow for damaged sections of your aura to gradually return back to their natural vibrancy.
